Man implicated in stolen car case

Forty-three-year-old Christopher Gardwood of Eight Street, Kingston 13, has been charged with receiving stolen property following an incident in Lauriston, Spanish Town, St Catherine, on January 9.

Reports from the Spanish Town police are that at 11 p.m., Gardwood was travelling along the roadway in a Honda Fit motor car when it was intercepted by the police. The men aboard the vehicle reportedly fled the scene on foot. The vehicle was removed to the police station, where a thorough search was conducted. It was later revealed that the vehicle had been stolen in January 2025. Extensive investigations into the matter led to the recovery of several other vehicles and the apprehension of Gardwood.

He was charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney. His court date is being arranged.
