Decomposed body of 62-y-o woman found in Innswood

Shock rippled through the Innswood community last night after the decomposed body of a 62-year-old woman was found inside her home.

The deceased has been identified as Maria Thompson.

Reports are that about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, passers by alerted the police to a scene in the Innswood area of St Catherine. The police went to 508 Parkway, where Thompson's decomposed body was discovered inside the house.

The scene was processed and the body was removed for a post mortem examination.

Investigations into the matter are being carried out by the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch.
